For centuries, across diverse cultures, sound has been recognized for its profound therapeutic potential. From the rhythmic drumming of indigenous ceremonies to the melodic chants of ancient traditions, sound has been used to promote well-being and connect us to something larger than ourselves.
In contemporary sound healing, instruments like singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, and even the human voice are skillfully employed to create specific frequencies and vibrations. These sonic waves interact with your body and mind, gently guiding you towards a state of balance and harmony. It’s an invitation to listen deeply, not just with your ears, but with your entire being, and to discover the incredible power of sound to heal and restore.
The vibrations can soothe your anxieties, ease physical tension, and transport you to a state of deep tranquillity.
WHAT TO EXPECT...
During your Sound treatment you will remain fully clothed in a warm, tranquil environment. Within this safe space we will open a conversation that can be as brief or detailed as you wish. I will then guide you into a meditation and together we will set an intention for the session to focus the mind and energy.
Whilst receiving the treatment I will intuitively play various instruments to create a rich tapestry of tones and vibrations. You will not only hear the sounds but you may also feel the vibrations in your body, this can be a gentle, internal massage. Most people experience a profound sense of relaxation, mental stillness and sometimes an emotional release.
As the treatment draws to a close I will bring your awareness back to the room and encourage you to drink water to support the detoxification of your body. The session will close with a reflective conversation on your experience. On leaving, continue to hydrate your body and opt for a gentler day. As with all complementary therapies, regular sessions are encouraged for long term benefits.
